Mary Blair was a phenomenal artist who is as synonymous with Disney as Mickey Ice Cream Heads on a Stick. Her designs inspired films such as Cinderella and Peter Pan, and her artwork can be seen throughout every scene of it’s a small world. To celebrate Mary’s artwork, while also coinciding with the 50th Anniversary of the IASW ride, is this book, The Art and Flair of Mary Blair by John Canemaker. I love Mary Blair. I think she was truly one of the pivotal artists that helped bring the Disney company into the modern era. Her use of shape and color was so unique, this would be a wonderful book to have.
